Every September, the ruby-throated hummingbirds stop over in my part of southeast Texas during their migration from as far north as Canada down to Central America. My 89-year old mother set out feeders to help the little guys "tank up" before heading further south. Every morning and/or evening I went over to photograph or video their activities.
